If you’re an empath or sensitive person, it’s easy to get overwhelmed when at gatherings, parties, and get-togethers, especially during the holidays.
🎄When you tend to absorb other people’s energy and emotions, it can be draining, causing fatigue and anxiety.
🎄One way to prevent this energy drain is to release external energies by brushing out the meridians of the body. This also helps us move our own stuck or stagnant energy as well.
🎄You can do this in as little as a few minutes, either excusing yourself during a gathering, or waiting until you’re home, and doing a brush-out then.
🎄This also works for phone calls or any time you feel like you are absorbing external energies. Brush out at a speed that feels best for you.
Make sure to breathe deeply as you brush!
1. Brush from the inner shoulder area, down the back of the arm, brushing out the thumbs on both arms. This helps to release sadness, disappointment, and grief that may be from other people (or ourselves).
2. Brush from the chest/heart area, down the front of the arm and out the palms and fingers of the hands. This releases strong emotions.
3. Brush the solar plexus and lower abdomen to release anxiety and fears from others.
4. Brush down sides of waist to sides of legs, This brushes out the gallbladder, releasing anger, stress, and irritability.
5. Brush out the lower back and buttocks. This opens and releases the lower back acupressure points, increasing energy, and releasing fear.
6. Brush the upper back. This releases strong and/or trapped emotions.

Healthy Tips for Spring
Spring is just around the corner for those of us in the northern hemisphere!
The Spring is a time of renewal, when the energy that has been resting and collecting during winter, has built up the momentum to literally spring forth. Dormant plants and animals begin to emerge, as energy moves from a contracted state to a more expansive one.
Our bodies follow this pattern as well. The Spring is ruled by the Wood Element which governs the Liver.
The Wood of the Liver is rising and expanding along with the plants outside. This can overstimulate the Liver causing health challenges such as:
* Irritability and anger
* Headaches and migraines
* Rashes and skin eruptions
* Depression
* Digestive issues (bloating, indigestion, heartburn)
* Worsening of PMS or female health issues
* Insomnia
A few tips for keeping your Liver happy!
1. The Wood Element is represented by the color green, so we want to eat green foods such as leafy greens, asparagus, broccoli, parsley, sprouts, etc. Sour foods are the flavor of the Wood element, so we also want to incorporate sour foods into the diet such as vinegar, pickles, and sauerkraut.
2. Tap and brush the upper right abdomen. This is the location of the Liver!! Tapping helps to free stuck energy while brushing helps to move the energy. Try this when you’re feeling irritable or angry.
3. Do some spring cleaning and let go of what no longer serves. Since this is the season of renewal, it is a time for taking in the new and releasing the old.
4. Try using lavender, peppermint, or citrus essential oils. Lavender resonates with the wood element, so try putting some on your hands while tapping the liver. Peppermint and citrus oils are uplifting and help combat stagnation. Try using these when you feel stuck, heavy, or tired.
